Run-Time error #202 when trying to install game modules.

The information in this article applies to:

Dungeon Master Door Game v1.0
Dungeon Master Door Game Configuration Editor v1.0

Symptoms:

When attempting to install a Dungeon Master game module with the configuration software (DMCFG.EXE), the program crashes and returns runtime error #202.

More Information/Solution:

The following is a work-around that will allow you to install any module that gives you this particular problem.

1.) First try to install the game module normally from the main Dungeon Master directory. DMCFG will create a new directory for the module, but will crash with a runtime error.

2.) Restart DMCFG.EXE and install the module that is in the path previously created. This will create a configuration for the game so it exists in the module list but it's not really installed completely yet.

3.) Using DMCFG, reinstall the module a third time, but from the main Dungeon Master directory again. The software will still crash with the #202 error message, but in reality the module is now completely installed. You'll then be able to make any configuration changes you want.

4.) Enter the game and it will rebuild all the module indexes and you'll be able to play the game!
